Bob: I am glad you had your "good days" this week and sorry for the bad ones. I have a high school friend that is going to start his dialysis soon. His father and brother have passed from the hereditary disease they had in their kidneys and Greg has "survived" cancer and now this. Add him to your prayer list. He is a Christian also and when I talked to him last year, his testimony spoke to me as well. He knows where he is headed and is prepared if he is called home. He is a great man was a high school principal and retired about 10 years ago and then worked part-time at a hospital. I think it was cute that Andrew told you that not all things are reliable on the inter-net - how true! He is being taught well but it is interesting research sometimes. I was told a "survivor" was considered "cured" after 10 years. I am now at 13 years so I guess I am a survivor who is "cured" - does that mean like a ham?

Got my braces back on today after getting my teeth cleaned and I am now sporting green power bands for St Patrick's Day since I am Irish!

I pray for another good week and sorry we missed you last Sunday. Went to see my father on Saturday and Sunday I was feeling all "nasally again" and sure didn't want to pass any germs on to you or anyone else.

Thanks for your update. Linda went for her colonoscopy today,and shared her thoughts of "How does Bob go through all those procedures?" Of course, the resounding answer is through the grace of God. Truly our Lord provides all that we need; we just have to draw upon it, right?
So glad that you were able to get through without passing out the last time this week.

Thanks again for sharing your heart and wisdom with us again, still teaching us through your illness. I am glad the office move went smoothly, although, I am sure it was with mixed emotions. Your family and friends are are tremendous joy and thanks for your insert Jenny; you know you have good friends!

Thanks for the continued thoughts and prayers that you continue to pray for us and our needs when your own are so significant. You are truly a friend.

We pray that this week will be a good week and that God still have excellent plans for your life and testimony thru this "nasty little disease" You have touched so many lives and are grateful to be part of your journey.

Good Morning, Bob,

What a time in which we live!! You are totally correct about this grandparenting thing. We have said so often how much we enjoy having FUN with our grandsons without the responsibility of discipling them. Grandparents can do no wrong with those little ones. It gives us such great opprotunities to give them information from our own experiences; they listen to us.

We will be praying as you have your echocardiogram. Isn't it amazing that there are all those techniques that give so much information. I think about my grandparents that suffered from so many problems with no way to diagnose them much less treat them. God has certainly blessed our generation with the advances in medicine.

We are sorry that you and your family are having to close the office, but we are happy that God has worked out the sale situation so that you can have fewer responsibilities in that areana.

You will always have your training and can help others as the opportunities arise to give that information to those who ask for it. YOU ARE A GREAT ATTORNEY!!

Bob & Patra: We continue to pray for you on this journey with your "nasty little disease" and think of you constantly. Yes, our Lord is in charge and we do need to understand that; His wisdom that He bestows on us is magnificent and sometimes we have to "slow down" to see all that. I know I was changed after my bout with cancer and then once I got back to my "Busy life" some of my thinking went back and then God reminds me constantly to "relax" and walk humbly and the life lessons I try to be more aware of my "surroundings" and to be kind to others and it comes back around, believe me. Glad to get to spend so much time with the grandchildren; we are going to be grandparents again in September and will be keeping our Zachary this week-end. What a blessing and they definitely take your mind off yourself for sure; you never know what will come out of their mouths!
I am sure clearing the office definitely gives you mixed emotions; especially when you spent so much time and you decorated it yourself as well. It was easier for me to leave my office because it wasn't mine; it was harder leaving Eckerds for sure.

Bob: We have all been "at the well" several times during our lives and have had our thirst "quenched" by Jesus! February is a special month for me. I met Ted in February, our son was born in February and I was diagnosed with cancer in Feb of 1999. This Feb will bring new challenges I am sure but Jesus is my rock and has my heart, especially in February. We are facing "short weeds" now; Ted is awaiting further testing and I am suffering with sinus and my new job is very physical and my body is responding; not graciously; we will see where it takes me; pray for a new job opportunity that will be less taxing on these old bones! We pray for your blood pressure to get under control and that you are refreshed with the water from the living well!

Thanks for the uplifting message again and we do need to look at the small potatoes. It is hard sometimes but the future is bright and exciting! We kept the grandbaby over the week-end so that is why I am late to post. Also, going to be a grandma again! Probably Sept! I needed that today....this week my "small potatoes" have been getting the better of me...I just keep turning my eyes towards Him...but for today...as I go get another neuprogen shot at the office and find out if I can go on maintenance next week or have another full treatment...I should just carry a potatoe in my pocket to remind myself...it's all just small potatoes...thanks again!

Thanks for sharing the truth of the WORD so beautifully with us once again. You are correct; at the time of difficulty, it is hard to think of that event as "small potatoes". In the light of eternity, that is exactly what we are dealing with in this life.
As we left my aging relatives in Oveido yesterday, I told Lex that I don't want to get old. The alternative seems really wonderful---going HOME to be with my Savior.
Our prayer list is growing longer also as many friends and relatives are hurting very badly.
Even come soon, LORD JESUS.

I'm up in Michigan (heading home tomorrow) where Lisa has had treatment #10!! Jan 31 she has #11 and is DONE with this round. She'll go on a "maintence" plan going every 2 weeks for just 1 of the chemicals!! We are glad the treatments are finishing because she's at a point where she is down and out much of the time from what the chemicals are doing. HOWEVER, they are doing some good work too so she plows on!! I sure wish we had two LITTLE princesses to entertain us this week. I'm going to show these pics to Allison and jennifer, Lisa and Steve's 15 and 17 year olds and see if we can get them to dress up and entertain us for some fun and frivolity!!!! Thanks for sharing again!
