Good Morning to the Buggs, Congratulations on the new baby, Anderson!! We rejoice with you. However, we too are concerned about Bob. Please know that we continue to pray and praise on your behalf. We hope to be there to see everyone by this time next week. Bob, we are hanging in here with you; never fear many are continuing to PRAY for God to supply exactly what you and your family need. We love you, Lex and Linda Thanks,Jenny, for the updates. We will keep checking today.
Praise God for the joyous arrival of your new grandchild! Bob and Patra, we are lifting you in prayer that God will make His pesence and strength very real to you and that the doctors can find a solution for your chest pain. Thanks family for all the updates that enable us to hold the prayer lines with specific requests. Sending love, Ritchie and Sheldon
Dear Bugg Family: I pray every day for your family; you have been such a blessing! Thank you for the post of Baby Anderson - how sweet! Bob, you have to stop going into the hospital just because one of your children goes! Pray that they find out what is causing the chest pains; maybe because it is "bursting with pride" of those adorable grandchildren! Seriously, your family has meant so much to us. I will be traveling to Orlando to see my sweet boy tomorrow & spend the night so they can do something special besides delivering strollers. The business of KingdomStrollers is going well and we pray that it continues to grow as the Lord would have it too. Take care my friends! May the Lord put his arms around your family!
I'm Bob Bugg. In December of 2009, I received some bad news. A kidney biopsy and bone marrow biopsy showed that I had amyloidosis and multiple myeloma. During February and March, 2010, I was a patient at Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, undergoing a bone marrow transplant. In November of that year, I spent a month at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, where a "radical" procedure was performed to shut down my kidneys.
I am 61 years old and Patra and I have been married for 39 years. We have 3 married children and 6 grandchildren. Before my illness prevented me from continuing in my profession, I served as a full time mediator in my legal practice.
We hope this blog will enable you to keep up with the Buggs as we walk this road, but it is also our prayer that this blog may be an encouragement and blessing to someone else. Faith, family, friends. We know that God is in control... and He is always good. We are blessed with a wonderful family and friends who are supporting us and praying for us.
What Is Amyloidosis?
(definition from the Merck Manual) Amyloidosis is a rare disease in which a protein called amyloid accumulates in various tissues and organs, impairing normal function. The accumulation of large amounts of amyloid can disturb the normal functioning of many organs.
